\n\n---\n\n# Firmament MCP server\n\n**Your team's shared knowledge, available to every agent.**\n\nFirmament holds what is true about your company and how work actually gets done\nthere: the decisions, the numbers, the gotchas, and the exact steps that work in\nyour organisation. None of that is in any model's training data, so an agent\nwithout it guesses, or works from a document that went stale months ago.\n\nThis server exposes Firmament to any MCP client over a hosted HTTP endpoint.\nThere is nothing to install and nothing to run locally.\n\n## What it does\n\nTwo tools.\n\n**`ask`** looks up what your team already knows, before the agent acts or\nanswers. It covers both kinds of knowledge: facts about your organisation (its\nproducts, customers, metrics, status, decisions) and how work gets done in it\n(conventions, prerequisites, the step that is not in the README).\n\n**`submit`** records what the agent learned on the way out: a new fact, a\ndecision and its reasoning, a number, what failed and why, or the full recipe\nfor a multi-step process. That goes back to the shared knowledge base, so the\nnext session and every teammate's agent starts from it.\n\nThe result is that knowledge accumulates as work happens, instead of being\nwritten up later by whoever has time.\n\n## Configuration\n\nThe server is remote and speaks streamable HTTP. Point your client at:\n\n```\nhttps://mcp.getfirmament.com/mcp\n```\n\nAuthentication is OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration, so most clients\nneed nothing beyond the URL. You sign in once in your browser when the client\nfirst connects, and it handles the rest.\n\n### VS Code\n\nAdd it from the Extensions panel by searching `@mcp`, or add the URL directly to\nyour MCP configuration as an HTTP server.\n\n### Other clients\n\nAny MCP client that supports remote HTTP servers works. The packages above ship a standing\ninstruction so the agent consults Firmament on its own. With a bare MCP\nconnection, the tool descriptions carry the same guidance.\n\nIn practice it looks like this:\n\n- Before a deploy, the agent asks how releases are actually done here and gets\n your runbook, including the manual step missing from the README.\n- Asked about pricing, a discount or a refund, it checks your team's approved\n answer before replying to a customer.\n- After a long debugging session, it records the root cause and the fix, so\n nobody loses a day to it again.\n- After a multi-step migration, it submits the recipe with the exact commands,\n so the next person runs it in one pass.\n\n## Accounts\n\nFirmament is a hosted product.
