MCP server for Duplicacy — monitor backup status and Prometheus metrics
Runs on your machine from its package; the steps are below.
At most: only reads or looks up information.
Odel charges nothing per call. The publisher may charge for its own service.
Runs locally over stdio
This server isn't hosted — your MCP client launches it from a package registry. Use one of the commands below, or drop the config into your client (e.g. Claude Desktop).
Run
npx -y duplicacy-mcp
MCP client config
{
"mcpServers": {
"duplicacy": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"-y",
"duplicacy-mcp"
]
}
}
}Run
docker run -i --rm drumsergio/duplicacy-mcp:v0.1.2
MCP client config
{
"mcpServers": {
"duplicacy": {
"command": "docker",
"args": [
"run",
"-i",
"--rm",
"drumsergio/duplicacy-mcp:v0.1.2"
]
}
}
}
A tiny bridge that reads Duplicacy backup metrics from a Prometheus exporter and exposes them as an MCP server, enabling LLMs to monitor backup status, progress, and health.
duplicacy://status, duplicacy://progress and duplicacy://health for read-only browsing.get_backup_status, get_backup_history, list_snapshots and get_prune_status./mcp) over HTTP, or stdio through npx duplicacy-mcp.127.0.0.1:8080 by default. Put a reverse proxy with authentication in front before exposing it.docker run -d -p 127.0.0.1:8080:8080 -e DUPLICACY_EXPORTER_URL=http://duplicacy-exporter:9750 drumsergio/duplicacy-mcp:v0.1.0
That serves http://127.0.0.1:8080/mcp. For a client that starts the server itself over stdio, use the npm package in an mcpServers block:
{
"mcpServers": {
"duplicacy": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "duplicacy-mcp"],
"env": { "DUPLICACY_EXPORTER_URL": "http://localhost:9750" }
}
}
}
Compose, a global npm install and a local build are in Getting started.
Part of the Duplicacy family: duplicacy-exporter, duplicacy-cli-cron, duplicacy-ha, duplicacy-container.
